More and more people are buying motorhomes to use for lengthy road trips or just short vacations, and for some, choosing the most appropriate vehicle can be a real headache. But if you set aside some time for research and the decision making process, getting the right one will not be so daunting. Here are some of the most important points to consider.

- What are the space requirements for your motorhome? There are motorhomes that could go from space for two to sleep to space for ten, and as a result you have to figure out what size motorhome you might need. Couples without children can do just fine with a small two-person motorhome if you are planning to spend a weekend away to see the sights; these are known as ‘2-berth’ homes. If you have a bigger group, however, you will want bigger berths, though comfort levels are not always a consideration.

- What features and facilities do you require the motorhome to have? You should have a clear idea of what facilities you will be requiring with your motorhome, you can get a motorhome that has as many features as a well designed flat however such a thing will cost you a fair price. With this the case the best approach is to list the things you think you need then put them in order of those you really cannot live without, to those that would be handy to have but are not a necessity. Such as the sizes of the beds, a freezer, microwave, large LCD TV etc.

- Where are you planning on taking the motorhome? Terrain is a very important thing to take into consideration; most motorhomes will be just fine if you just plan on driving for long distances and want to stay on the road. On the other hand, you should figure out what sort of terrain you are going to be dealing with, so look over your itinerary with a fine toothed comb. A 4×4 motorhome is fairly necessary in the event that you are going to go off-road or use rocky or dirt roads.

- Will you get good mileage with a motorhome? Fuel consumption will be calculated based on how big the motorhome is and how many passengers it is carrying, but of course the modern motorhomes are made with long-distance travel capabilities in mind, and use energy-efficient diesel engines. The rule of thumb for motorhome mileage is 35 miles to the gallon for a standard 2-berth vehicle, 20-30 mpg for a mid-sized motorhome, and only about 10 mpg for the large RV. You can cut your gas costs by half if you buy an LPG-conversion vehicle.

There are many compelling reasons for taking a European tour and one of the most important is the fact that this is an incredible cultural experience. Those who have been on a trip such as this call it the ultimate historical adventure. If you are on a tight budget then you should camp in Europe and this would of course also add to the sense of adventure.

There are a wide variety of camp sites in Europe that offer something for everyone. There are the more expensive camp sites which offer the camper a bit more luxury.

There are some that are slightly higher end which afford one some luxuries. Then there are also cheap and cheerful camp sites which offer your basic amenities such as running water, toilets and wash areas and there are even some camp sites which are free of charge.

Eco tourists from around the world are able to see Europe in a different manner when they embark on a camper’s holiday tour of Europe. Travel agents offer the real nature lover a chance to trek through Europe by putting together a package that consists of the tourist hiking through certain parts of Europe over several days or weeks and stopping at night to camp or to stay in a modest bed and breakfast.

A camping trip is the perfect component of a cycling tour of Europe and this is something that many people are doing these days. It is likely to be as a result of the fact that there is such a great deal of emphasis on the issues of money and health at the moment. You will find that everything is a whole lot cheaper by using this method and this is definitely true if you compare it with an organised trip. Transfers, transportation and hotel accommodation costs all add up, but these are avoidable on a bicycle camping vacation.

There are a number of popular camp sites such as Ilha da Berlenga which is situated in Portugal. This camp site is situated on a hill overlooking a secret cove and the Spanish camp site of El Burro Blanco is also incredible. It is surrounded by nine acres of forest and you are bound to feel as if you have escaped to another time. Les Romarins is a French site that is also well known and these are just three examples of a huge variety that await you.

All in all no matter what your tastes, your need for rest and relaxation or even the size of your pocket, to camp in Europe is a fun and amazing way to explore and experience the wonder and diversity of this amazing place which calls itself Europe.

Do you dream of being an adventurer? Do you fantasize about going off and touring a secluded location, climbing an extreme mountain or trying something different? Do you get excited when you think about pushing your limits and expanding horizons? If so, why do you settle for wearisome vacations? Why are you settling for sitting around and twiddling your thumbs? Why get your blood pumping? The type of activity you want to endure and the boundaries you want to push in an adventure travel are not matter, they are just waiting for you to book them. Here are some options for individuals who have gotten bored by taking the same old vacation they always take.

Are you a photography enthusiast? Have you always wanted to photograph world famous landscapes? Photo Explorer Tours is a company that will make it happen for you. These are tours around the globe, led by internationally recognized photographers. The company comes up with tours of places throughout the world. If you aren’t sure where you want to go, that’s okay. Organize your vacation during a convenient time for you and then just join a group. Photo World Tours plans specific tours with precise locations and dates. When you have available vacation time, just meet up with another group of tourists and go along with them wherever they are going. Enjoy the spontaneity of it! Dude Ranches are good trips for the whole family. The Ponderosa Ranch in Nebraska gives you an opportunity for laborious work and an exciting ranch vacation. You can sleep in the ranch’s guest cabins. During the day you are a true ranch hand. Guests get atop a horse and help round up cattle and drive them from one bit of ranch acreage to another. At night there are campfire stories to be shared, some home cooking to be enjoyed and some excellent activities to participate in. When you have some down time, you have a few different options, including hunting, fishing, hiking and taking a horseback ride. This is a great vacation for families because people of all ages and skill levels are welcome.

Do you idolize about spending a few weeks out on the open road on a motorcycle adventure? Sure you could join a motorcycle club at home but where is the fun in that? For real adventure travel enthusiasts, the fun lies in taking a motorcycle tour of somewhere far away.

What better way to do that than to go on a motorcycle tour of New Zealand and Australia? Australia has touring adventures offered by Harley Davidson. New Zealand has quite a few companies that offer tours and guided trips that you can take on motorcycle. The hardest thing to do is figure out how to get there. However once you make it out there, you’ll want to stay!

Adventure travels don’t have to be unrestricted, ritzy and unconventional. Some of them provided daytime adventures, while bringing you back to a pleasant place to spend the night. The main purpose of an adventure vacation is to have an exciting time and get your adrenaline going. Favorably, there are adventures for every walk of life to do – even they have a short vacation time to embark on the endeavor. When the time comes to layout your next vacation plans why not think about taking a walk on the adventurer’s side? You can pick a pleasant spa for your vacation after.

Some other sites that touch on travel and tourism is this site Edmonton Marketing and this site on Offline Marketing

Did you know that Disney World offers fully functional campgrounds for you, your children, and even the family dog? Camping at Disney World might sound like just another way Disney is trying to make money off its guests. After all, the Fort Wilderness Resort doesn’t offer a fully authentic camping experience. All campsites include electricity and water, and for an extra fee you can even get high-speed Internet access. Buildings are air-conditioned and you can easily access Disney World itself.

Despite these detractions from the pure camping experience, Disney Fort Wilderness Resort is well worth the money they charge for you to camp there. Unlike traditional campsites, Disney also offers cable television, air conditioning, and even high speed Internet. The campsite is set upon some truly beautiful land: a forest full of pine trees, water canals, and hiking trails that look like the real thing. There are even deer, rabbits, and ducks wandering around the campgrounds.

Disney Fort Wilderness offers plenty for the entire family to do during the camping experience. You can go hiking on a forest trail or fish and swim in one of the many water canals on the campgrounds. You can also take your kids on a horse and wagon ride or to the archery range. In addition, every evening, you can watch a Disney movie under the stars in an outdoor arena. There are hook-ups for tents and RV’s, and log-cabin style buildings dot the premises.

The campsites are situated in a forest full of pine and cypress trees and there are log cabins or other rustic-looking buildings on site. Camping at Disney is also safer than camping at a traditional campsite. There are no dangerous wild animals at Fort Wilderness Resort; you will never have to start a fire to scare away wolves, bears, or other predators. The only other people you will encounter are other paying guests, and Disney staff is located on the campgrounds in case of emergency.

Camping activities include hiking, exploring, fishing, and swimming, but if you tire of these, there is still plenty to do. Fort Wilderness offers horse and wagon rides and archery ranges in addition to traditional camping activities, and every evening a Disney movie is screened on the campsite.

As a Disney World Resort guest, you are also entitled to complimentary transportation to and from all Disney Theme Park locations. In addition to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center, you and your children could visit the Animal Kingdom or any of the Disney World Water Parks. You can also visit two golf courses and other Disney World Resort Hotels.

If you have a dog, you can bring him or her to selected areas of the campsite. Your dog will enjoy walking through the campgrounds and will have an air-conditioned place to sleep. Cats are presumably also welcome on the campsite, although most cats are not leash trained so this may not be a good idea.

In short, if you are looking for a camping experience to complement your vacation, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort may be the place for you and your family. You can experience camping with modern conveniences, explore Disney World, and find plenty to do on your vacation.

While you’re in the area, you may want to explore some of the other camping opportunities in Florida.

Particular items are necessary when a family camps. Things essential at a campground are the same as those used at home. The basics are food, water, shelter, clothing, fire, and light. A fishing pole, black Swiss Army knife, and courageous attitude is also a big help. At night, things crawl around and go bump in the night, while there is hardly any light.

Shelter is protection from the outside elements. Tents are a basic kind of shelter for a campsite, outside of making dirt a place to sleep. Tents need to be selected based on how much equipment and how many persons will be traveling. The size of tents are based on twos.

A fire is the best friend at camp. It is a good idea to know how to start one, but if not campers should come equipped with proper fire starting materials. This fire will keep the campground warm and allow for foods to be cooked. Fire also provides light, but flashlights and lamps need to be included.

Ensure all bases are covered with clothing. Hats to protect against cold and sun, long pants, and short pants be included. Tank tops, hiking boots and long sleeve shirts are also needed. If swimming at a nearby lake or creek is part of the camping trip, swimsuits should be integrated into clothing choices.

Bug spray and sunblock are needed. Spray bare skin and clothing with bug spray. As a recommendation, long pants, if worn, should be tucked inside of boots and duct taped to prevent bug bites and protect against a loose snake or two that might be roaming about.

For people that only dream of camping, food is imagined in terms of chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows. Though this is fun food, it does no good without being balanced by suitable nourishment. A picnic cooler, sandwich meats, soft drinks, dried fruits, cheese, bread, and crackers are great foods to bring. Canned meats, beans, chili, and soups add essential protein. Though freeze dried foods are not essential to camping, they are handy. Foods can be made exciting and innovative.

The Swiss Army knife proves its handiness with chopping, while its scissors can be used to cut open packages. A Swiss Army knife will include a can opener which can be used to open canned foods packed with the additional provisions. It can gut any fish that have been caught while camping.

Whether done by one person or a family, camping is an adventure. As long as preparations are made, the adventure should start.

Backpacking, camping, and hiking are activities that lots of individuals who love the outside do frequently. These activities could be fun, yet there are quite a few safety concerns for the reason that many things can happen while out in the woods faraway from population. There are a few things you need to do prior to going out on the next trip to assure that you will be safe.

The main oversight that the majority of people make when going on a trip such as this is not letting other people know where they’re going to be going. Most people inform others concerning the general region they will be camping or hiking in, but rarely would they leave someone with a detailed list of the possible routes and outdoor camping destinations that they’ll be in every day.

The main reason that giving your thorough itinerary to someone is very important is because if you do get lost, rescuers can have a overall idea of where you would be. Obviously you will want to be found and this provides you with an improved chance of being found in the event something does happen. Although you might think that you will be fine, something as simple as a busted ankle can cause you severe issues.

Be sure you properly load up your survival gear. Different people argue over what is actually necessary for something such as this. Determine what you believe you’ll need because your own personal demands might be not the same as another person’s.

Make sure you not only pack the gear but also understand how to put it to use. Practice building a real fire using your fire making gear. Learn how to fish with any survival fishing equipment. If stressed and lost in the woods, you will have a difficult time figuring out how to utilize these tools for the very first time.

Study basic first aid. While you won’t be able to treat everything, there are certain things that can be done to help make somebody much more comfortable and to prevent infection. Just simple skills alone can help if dangerous accidents take place.

As you prepare for yourvery first family camping adventuer , you’ll quickly find that there are a wide variety of tents to pick from, making it hard to decide which one would suit the needs of your family best. Here are some of the most popular tents known for making camping trips as comfortable as possible.

A Dome Tent

Dome tents are very popular because they are incredibly simple to put together and break down.

A great one to try is a Coleman Sundome Tent. The Coleman Sundome Tent 7 x 7 can sleep up to 3 people in a comfortable amount of space , and the 10 x 10 can sleep up to give. One of the best features is an air ventilation system that allows you to adjust the ventilation within the tent.

If you come from a larger family, you should consider a family dome tent such as the Wenzel Family Dome Tent, which is smaller and compact but still offers lots of space for the whole family. There are several doors, a tub style bottom , and creatively placed rain shingles. A few even come with internal curtains to create private spaces .

A Cabin Tent

Cabin tents are a little less popular than dome tents because they are a bit more expensive , but they are a lot more spacious . A cabin tent can sometimes sleep up to 8 people , so it’s a great investment if you camp in large groups .

The Coleman Cabin Tent offers a ton of space for your entire family while remaining weather resistant and offering easy set up.

In Addition to the Tent

After you’ve settled on a tent, you need to make sure you pack a few other camping essentials . A wheeled cooler, like a Coleman wheeled cooler, will allow you to move your food without pulling your back out .

You’ll also want to take a look at one of the best portable BBQ grills available for purchase . A portable BBQ is perfect for cookouts in the woods but you can use it at home too . You can also buy a wireless BBQ thermometer, such as an efficient Accurite Wireless BBQ Thermometer, to ensure you’ve barbequed to perfection.

Deciding on the the right camping tent can be easy , especially if you pick a simple design . It always helps to have the right accessories on every camping trip!
