If you have seen people go white water rafting on TV then you will know what a fun and exciting experience it is. It is something that interests lots of people, but they have not done it for themselves because they think to try it you have to travel to somewhere like the Canadian Rockies or the Himalayas. The chances are though that, wherever you live, you are just a few hours away from somewhere that you can go white water rafting, as a huge mountain range is not necessary for white water rapids to form. The cost of white water rafting is not prohibitive. For a day of white water rafting, you can expect to have to pay around $75, which includes equipment and instruction. For that price, you will probably get to ride the rapids a few times. You may sometimes see companies offering the experience for a lower price, but those companies should be avoided. If a company is significantly undercutting the competition then they are probably cutting corners somewhere, and with white water rafting that means on either the quality of the equipment or the instruction. White water rafting, despite looking kind of scary and dangerous, is actually very safe. Problems very rarely arise and, even if they do, you will have your instructor in your raft to bring things back under control. You will be given a training session before you actually start rafting too, so you will learn what to should you fall off the raft or should the raft capsize. You will be wearing both a life-jacket and a crash helmet, so the chances of incurring any injuries are slim. Even if you do not consider yourself to be a very ’sporty’ person, you can still have a great time going white water rafting. Remember, because it is a group activity, even if you are not a very strong paddler, there will be someone else in the group to cover for you. As there are various difficulty levels as well, then you can start off on slower rapids if you are not feeling very confident. If you are feeling very confident then you can try out the really fast rapids straight away. Even on the fast rapids you do not need to be an athlete, as white water rafting does not require any great strength. Most white water rafting companies have websites, so it is not difficult for you to make a booking. Check out some websites, read some reviews about them and then make your choice. What are you waiting for?

With camping equipment you will want to get the basics down. If you find that your camping holidays don’t always go to plan then it could be down to your camping equipment.

No one likes to go on a camping holiday only to find that they have forgotten to bring something that they really need. You can easily remedy this problem by using simple checklist to make sure you have the right camping equipment and outdoor clothing for your holiday or expedition.

At the other end of the scale is people that just bring everything regardless of if they need it or not. Trying to get the right amount of equipment without bring too much or too little can be a difficult skill to master and one which you will need to pickup if you plan on hiking and need to get everything into one of your rucksacks.

Naturally this all comes down to the specifics of what you decide is necessary for your camping trip asides from the necessities including a tent it is up to you to determine how necessary each additional item is. If you plan on taking a car with you then of course there will be room to bring some more heavy weight items like a stove.

I think it is always a good idea to pack light because this allow you more flexibility when it comes to choosing your daily activities. Travelling light is definitely an art and can be easier for some more than others to achieve.

When you go camping as part of a group it is also possible to bring some extra items that may not have been possible to bring if you were travelling on your own.

As started at the very start of this article the way to get the most out of your camping holiday is the correct planning and preparation of the equipment you will need.

Known as the “Big Sky” State, Montana is a awesome place to plan a family vacation. Montana has some of the best fishing, hunting, and camping grounds, as well as three of the five entrances to yellowstone. While on your Montana Vacation and don’t forget the Must see sights.

Beartooth Highway also the “All-American” highway is the highest elevation highway in the Northern Rockies. Due to the enormous snow fall in the area, the Beartooth highway is only open seasonally from May to October. While driving down the road its not uncommon to pass through areas where there are snow wall 3-4 times higher than your vehicle. It is said to be like going through a maze and is quite a sight.

This road was built to provide Yellowstone Park access From the Billings and is about 60 miles of breath taking experience. Beartooth comes from the Crow Indian description of the geologic formation in a range. Beartooth is now in the top ten scenic drives in the Northern Rockies.

Absarokee: Absarokee is a small town at the foot of the Beartooth Mountains that is known for its hiking, fishing, camping and outdoor activities.

Columbus: Columbus is in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, along with great fishing, and for camping you can check out the “Museum of the Beartooths” which contains memorabilia of the Rosebud River Crow Indians, Northern Pacific railroad and World War ll history. Other activities include boating and water sports at Cooney Dam.

Billings: billings has a large number of exciting things that are fun to do.. Like the Northern Pacific Depot, MetraPark, Boothill Cemetery and Monument, Black otter trail, Yellowstone Kelleys Grave, Yellowstone county museum, Yellowstone art museum, Alberta Bair Theater, Moss Mansion, and the Western Heritage Center.

An item of historical interest, the Boothill Cemetary and monument is the final resting place for Muggins Taylor, the scout who first carried the news of Custer’s last stand to the world.

The Yellowstone county museum in Billings is also a must see destination. There is the landmarks gallery which has national and international artists. There is also the Landmarks Gallery which exhibits artwork of local national and international artists.

The National art museum is a nationally accredited art museum with both contemporary and historic changing exhibitions. You will find exhibits of paintings, drawings, sculpture, ceramics, prints and photography. You will also find the comprehensive works of the cowboy illustrator Will James.

The western heritage Center has the distinction of being listed on the National Register of Historic Place and is a Smithsonian Institution Affiliate. It is a regional museum focusing on the people of the Yellowstone River Valley.

slp2 survival tool

Make a list of things you need for your camping trip this summer in advance so that when you arrive on site your not missing anything.

Once the tent is all set up its time to have some fun so why not get out the remote control helicoptereven though the Mini X Gyro is easy to fly I would advise a few flying lessons in the garden before you take to the sky on the campsite.

The Light My Fire Firesteel has a razor sharp ‘lock-out’ serrated blade, by using the back of the blade on the firesteel rod will enable you to light stoves, barbeques, dry grass and bark, so dont rely on the matches or lighter. Another great benefit is that can be used in windy, wet and cold conditions. The slp2 survival tool makes a great gift for any adventure seeker, any age for more ideas look at the gifts for him section of the site.
Complete with four of the most essential tools for survival this knife spotrs a black titanium finished handle and stainless steel blade, as well as flashlight, rescue whistle and firelighter.

If you want to do your bit for the planet then why not invest in a wind up LED lantern which will never fail you in the middle of the night, and will save you money.

As well as being reliable, the 5 super bright LEDs can provide you with 25 minutes of light after just 1 minute of winding, alternatively this models also comes with an in car charger!

As well a gas stove for cooking I also like to take along a portable barbecue, as this is one of my favourite outdoor toys, one such as the ‘Darwin BBQ’ has an ingenious carry case design with a removable ash pan for easy cleaning.

The sturdy steel construction is impressive too, unlike the cheap disposables where the food usually ends up rolling onto the floor.

Farmville system works the same on Facebook and MySpace. There are some steps you must take to achieve success. The rate of speed of your success depends on following these steps, and what sort of time you spend at the game. You are playing anyway, so you may as well at least play for optimum growth and success. Follow the Farmville system tips below and you will be well on the way to a successful Farmville career.
1 – The fundamentals

Each time you move up a level, you release the availability to new seeds, items, tools, decorations and other special products. You also get more important Farmville experience points. So you can see that to get the best experience out of Farmville, you will need to level up quickly to keep unlocking those ever-increasing items and bonuses.

2 – Leveling Up

Farmville strategy is actually based on Farmville experience points. When you plow a plot of land you receive one Farmville experience point. Keep plowing land and harvesting crops at the early levels to level up speedily. This is the only real way to move up in the early rounds. Plow plant, harvest, and Repeat.

3 – Supplement your crop

A great Farmville technique to receive bits of Farmville experience points is to build additions and decorations to your farm and Farmville plantation. Buildings, decorations and other special items cost money. To get money, plant those items that you’ll be ready to harvest today. If you are going to be at your keyboard in 8 hours, plant pumpkins, they give you more Farmville cash. And while your crops are growing, get bust decorating and building.

4 – Get Those Ribbons

You are awarded Farmville ribbons just by completing daily activities. How does one get Farmville ribbons? Just click the Farmville ribbons icon in the lower right corner for an inventory of all available ribbons, and the Farmville strategy you need to complete them. That is right; the game will tell you precisely what you need to do to advance. You can see at an instant those activities you need to target to receive your next ribbon. And with Farmville ribbons brings large chunks of Farmville experience points!

Golf has been around for centuries and is a wonderful, universal game enjoyed by millions of players around the world each year. Many holidays are now centred around beautiful golf courses around the world.

When you think you have cracked the game of golf, you can then go out and hit a huge score which can knock your confidence.

Golf tips are plentiful online and in many popular bookshops. These help to solve faqs, for instance “how to fix a hook in golf?” If you are determined and want to know how to lower your handicap, you may find a golf guide useful.

There are a few books written just about specific problems such as how to fix a slice or cure a hook. For golf driving tips, many golfers have found The PurePoint Golf Swing by Bobby Eldridge helpful.

It is not just hooking, slicing and driving that causes issues to golfers. For those wanting to improve their short game “How To Break 80″ In Golf by Jack Moorehouse is a good all-round guide to help you iron out major weaknesses within your game preventing you from shooting scores you are capable of.

Putting is all about touch, composure and skill and can be the difference between a match winning score and not making the cut. If you want to learn how to putt a golf ball better there is a guide titled The Breakthrough Putting Secrets Revealed which may be of interest.

Golf conditioning is not talked about much but can also help keep you in good condition, increase concentration levels during those long rounds and also prolong your playing career into your latter years . Various golf slice cure tips are included within Hardstyle Golf Conditioning by Terence Thomas.

If you have just gotten the boat or jet ski you have always dreamed about, boat or watercraft insurance may not be the first thing on your mind, especially if it is a used craft. It is very important to take care to have a boat insurance that provides good value to your policy. Boating accidents happen when least expected from the time they are put in the water or actually anytime at all. You would be amazed how expensive the repair bills are when you run aground or hit a tree underwater. It can ruin your day! In terms of the cost of body work on a boat, it would be atleast as expensive as it would on your car and the cost of a motor alone can run into the thousands of dollars.

Your location will determine how quickly you can have boat repairs completed. If you take a proper policy for the boat , you can take your boat to the shop without transportation cost and your own trailer. It could be extremely costly. Marine boat insurance isn’t normally hard to come by and is pretty cheap compared to homeowners or auto insurance.
It is very hard to find some one whom you can trust to insure your boat, and get the pay timely when there is a problem. Watercraft insurance is offered by most auto insurance companies although it’s sometimes offered by another one of their companies. They used a reputable company so that they wouldn’t disappoint their customers with mismanaged applications. If you already have home or car insurance with a company, using them for your cheap boat insurance may save you money and get you a discount. You can ask your insurance for the recommendation if it doesnt cover your watercraft insurance. They have clients that have boat insurance and may even be aware of an happy or sad experience that a certain client had with a particular marine insurance company. A boat insurance with some good alternatives can be easily bought online. In a similar vein to getting something like affordable dental insurance. Look at different policies and costs of boat insurance, and make sure you can trust the company. Making just one search on the Internet can open you open to numerous complaint from disgruntled consumers.
Contact the Better Business Bureau (BBB) with any questions you have about possible problems with any insurance company. Hopefully you will not arrange a demand that would send you to a good for nothing policy. Since boats will cost you a lot of money to get fixed, you’ll want to put getting boat insurance on the top of your list. Insurance coverage that you purchase can take care of damages incurred when the boat isn’t even in the water. You wouldn’t drive your car without insuring against damage or injury liability; don’t use your boat without it either. Operating any vehicle has risk and it’s resposible to anticipate it.

Northern California’s variety and climate make this one of the best vacation spots in the U.S.. No matter the interests or the preferences of the person going on a vacation there is a place that they are looking for. Here are a few of the highest rated parks for Rv’s

The Doran Beach Park

This park has one of the most beautiful natural settings that can be found anywhere along the Pacific Coast. At any time you could look and see people on the 2-mile stretch you can see people swimming, flying kites, playing in the sand, and all sorts of other beach activities.

The campground facilities are open year-round and are perfect for self-contained RV owners who don’t need RV hookups. There are many places for RV’s along with the different places for tents and other camping gear. The RV main sites are in circles that have 10 mini sites; this makes it easy to back in a park..

This park is on 201 Doran Beach Road on Hwy 1 and is always open. Most Sonoma County regional parks are open at sunrise and close at sundown. Reservations and other information are available at the Sonoma Regional Parks and Recreation.

Durango RV Resort

This is one of the top picks for RV resorts with hookups that have all the amenities that an RV enthusiast could want including broad-band wireless internet, cable TV hookups, lap pool and spa, 24 hour security gates, outdoor recreation areas, and more.

Those who have larger RV’s that are generally challenging to park will breathe a sigh of relief when they see the spacious sites that take all the difficulty out of the normally stressful parking experience.

The resort is located on the Antelope/Highway 36 Exit off Interstate 5 in Red Bluff, California.

Sierra Skies RV Park

This park, because of its secluded area, is perfect for a more romantic experience. This is a cozy park with beautiful scenery.

For nature lovers, this is the park. The Pacific Crest Trail has many challenging trails and climbs for hikers. The Yuba River offers plenty to do for those who are into fishing, boating, rafting, kayaking, swimming, and gold panning.

Pioneer RV Park; Sierra Nevada Mountains

around Bucks lake for fishing and swimming.. This place offers hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, biking, horseback riding, hunting, gold panning, and ATV trails.

Nearby Quincy California is a small gold rush and logging town that has museums, shopping and fine dining,

For more information visit California RV Park.

Enjoy these and the other parks that line the north-western coastline of California with all the unique natural and geological features it has to offer. Summer is here, and it’s the perfect time to get started!

Whether your RV plans are for the windy roads of Highway 1 or the mountain roads of the Sierra Nevada Mountains light weight compact RVs can make your trip easyer. On of the highest rated RV’s is the Chalet Arrow. The Chalet lineup includes the Chalet LTW the lightest of the Chalet Alpines, the Chalet Alpine, Chalet Arrow, Chalet XL as well as the Oregon Camper and the Takena travel trailer

Firstly, you need to take care of the basic needs like food, clothing, and shelter. Check the forecast before you head out, but don’t take it for granted that the weather will be true to the forecast. For example, bring sunscreen even if the forecast is calling for a cloudy day. In the event that the weather does change, you’ll be prepared for it. You should ensure that you have more than enough water and food to last the duration of your trip. If you’ll be in an area with water, you’ll only need to bring something to purify it with.

Night vision goggles are an often overlooked camping companion, but can be very useful. Its always a good idea to bring a pair along with you in case you are attacked by nocturnal animals. With the ability to view your surroundings, you’ll be better equipped to deal with an attack. You’ll also want to be sure to bring pepper spray for bears, wolves, and coyotes.

Insect repellent will help alleviate insect problems, however I’d advise getting a tent or some netting for extra protection. You’ll find that it is much easier to sleep when you are not getting eaten alive at night. Be sure to bring some anti itch cream just in case some bugs get through your defenses.

You can avoid dangerous plants by knowing which ones may cause you problems in advance. Pick up a book on poisonous plants to give you the knowledge you need. Don’t let a little plant ruin your camping trip.

Camping gear can be purchased over the world wide web. Night vision Usa is a great place to pick up some night vision equipment. Other sites like the Bass Pro shop or Gander mountain can provide you with things like back packs and tents to use. Clothing can be as basic as Walmart clothes to as elaborate as fancy hunting dress. Be safe and have fun and you’ll have plenty of camping trips to look forward to.
